OUR CLIENTS

CLIENT STORY //  Government of Saskatchewan

Business Challenge

The Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing (CPSP) of the Government of Saskatchewan began an initiative to streamline and improve their Vendor and Service provider contracting and payment processes by implementing an Automated Service Agreement and Payment System.

CPSP’s top priorities were to improve consistency of contract delivery and payment, as well as improving compliance and reporting.  CPSP’s need for an effective solution became more urgent as the systems that were producing the service provider payments were set to retire.

Springbok’s Solution

CPSP turned to Springbok to help solve their challenge. Springbok offered CPSP an innovative solution, which enabled CPSP staff to improve contracting and payment processing.  At the same time, the Springbok solution satisfied the CPSP executives' request for improved visibility into the contracting and payment process.

Springbok’s solution was to implement UpsideContract and UpsideBilling.  Springbok worked closely with CPSP team members and IT staff to tightly integrate UpsideContract and UpsideBilling with their current Young Offender, Alternative Measures and enterprise financial systems.  Springbok produced a structured and compliant contracting and payment process that allowed CPSP staff to efficiently manage interactions with vendors and service providers from contract inception all the way to contract payment.

With extensive experience providing contract management solutions for enterprise-grade clients, Springbok provided CPSP with the tools and processes to satisfy their current business needs.  Springbok also helped CPSP develop a deeper understanding of contracting best practices, which allowed the Ministry to continue to refine and improve their contracting processes.

Results

Springbok has enabled CPSP staff to manage contract and payments with service providers in a timely manner, while at the same time improve corporate compliance and reporting.  This has resulted in increased vendor, service provider and CPSP executive satisfaction.

Springbok continues to help CPSP refine their contracting business processes and are looking to partner in streamlining and automating CPSP’s Trust Accounting processes.

CLIENT STORY //  The Northern Ontario School of Medicine

Business Challenge

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) began an initiative to improve their organization’s contracting business processes. Northern Ontario, which covers an area of 1 million square kilometres, forms the backdrop to the distributed campus of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. NOSM is a joint initiative of Laurentian University, Sudbury and Lakehead University, Thunder Bay. With main campuses in Thunder Bay and Sudbury, the School has multiple teaching and research sites distributed across Northern Ontario, including large and small communities.

In addition, the School works in partnership with universities, private sector organizations, and health centres across northern Ontario to facilitate research initiatives which have a strong focus on the health issues of northern communities.

Being distributed, NOSM’s top priorities included contract visibility, standardization and obtaining timely contract approvals.  Their current contracting processes had them at risk for missing reporting deadlines, which could result in penalties or loss of funding; missed contract expiration dates, which could result in the interruption of services; missed and/or over-payments to contractors; and use of outdated contract language and/or the possibility of missing relevant legal clauses, that would protect the school from liability issues.

Springbok’s Solution

NOSM turned to Springbok to help solve their challenge. Springbok's solution enabled NOSM staff to get control of the contracting process through language standardization and approval process.  This also satisfied NOSM executives' request for improved visibility into the contracting process.

Springbok’s solution was to implement UpsideContract.  Springbok worked closely with NOSM team members and IT staff to produce a structured and compliant contracting process.  This process allowed NOSM staff to efficiently manage interactions with vendors and service providers from contract inception all the way to contract execution and beyond.

With extensive experience providing contract management solutions for enterprise-grade clients, Springbok provided NOSM with the tools and processes to satisfy their current business needs.  Springbok also helped NOSM develop a deep understanding of contracting best practices which allowed the organization to continue to refine and improve their contracting processes.

Results

Springbok has enabled NOSM staff to manage contracts with service providers in a timely manner, while at the same time improving corporate compliance and reporting.  This has resulted in increased vendor, service provider and NOSM executive satisfaction.

Springbok continues to help NOSM roll out their UpsideContract software implementation to additional business units.
